ABOUT ERICKA SCOTT
Fillmore native Ericka Scott founded Honey Art Studio as a safe space for friends, families, co-workers and even strangers to come together to explore their creative side. In Scott’s own words, “Honey Art Studio is a space that acknowledges the creativity, the longevity, the ingenuity and the faith of Black People.” Their visual and performing arts classes incorporate traditional learning styles as well as hands-on experiences.

ABOUT CITIZEN FILM AND BLACK ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Many black entrepreneurs in the Bay are committed to creating spaces that keep dollars in their neighborhoods and lift up their communities. Sharing powerful, authentic stories of these entrepreneurs’ work—their dreaming, striving, overcoming challenges and celebrating achievements—is essential to supporting their successes and to manifesting a collective, community-centered vision.
With the support of our partners at San Francisco’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development and The Dream Keeper Initiative, Citizen Film collaborates with Black business owners to tell their stories in creative ways that make a community-building impact.
