ABOUT Hats Off
This feature-length documentary profiles the beauty and eccentricities of actress Mimi Weddell, who was named at age 90 by New York Magazine as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People in New York.” From grueling 14-hour days at “cattle-call” auditions, to gymnastics and dance workouts, to the everyday challenges of aging, Mimi Weddell, whose acting career began at 65, exudes a “can-do/will-do” attitude that encourages us all to be more than we are. Hats Off, directed by Jyll Johnstone, with cinematography by Sophie Constantinou, is co-edited by Kate Stilley, who produced and edited Johnstone’s previous film Throwing Curves.
