ABOUT MORAYSHA’S

MoRaysha Pouoa opened her catering business, MoRaysha’s, in 2019 to serve her community. She prides herself on her relationship with her customers, a group which had grown exponentially since she was put on the Mayor London Breed’s list of top black-owned businesses in San Francisco. She uses proceeds from her business to feed the youth in and around where she grew up at no cost.

ABOUT CITIZEN FILM AND BLACK ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Many black entrepreneurs in the Bay are committed to creating spaces that keep dollars in their neighborhoods and lift up their communities. Sharing powerful, authentic stories of these entrepreneurs’ work—their dreaming, striving, overcoming challenges and celebrating achievements—is essential to supporting their successes and to manifesting a collective, community-centered vision.

With the support of our partners at San Francisco’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development and The Dream Keeper Initiative, Citizen Film collaborates with Black business owners to tell their stories in creative ways that make a community-building impact.
