For more than 50 years, Curry Senior Center has been dedicated to helping low income and homeless seniors in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood through a holistic care approach; their impact can be seen in their results, but more importantly in the faces of those they serve.
ABOUT NARRATIVE SHIFT
With support from the Dream Keeper Initiative and the Human Rights Commission, Narrative Shift lifts up unseen, untold stories from San Francisco’s Black community—people and organizations too often mis- or underrepresented in mainstream news and storytelling. The suite of projects includes video diaries, short films, dance and theater projects and more. Narrative Shift puts storytelling tools (filming, recording, interviewing, etc) directly in the hands of those from communities most directly impacted by historic and cultural exclusion.
