“Bridging the Gap” shares cross generational stories from an overlooked, but contributing group in our society—incarcerated Black women—to foster intergenerational creativity, community and healing in participants and audiences alike.
ABOUT NARRATIVE SHIFT
With support from the Dream Keeper Initiative and the Human Rights Commission, Narrative Shift lifts up unseen, untold stories from San Francisco’s Black community—people and organizations too often mis- or underrepresented in mainstream news and storytelling. The suite of projects includes video diaries, short films, dance and theater projects and more. Narrative Shift puts storytelling tools (filming, recording, interviewing, etc) directly in the hands of those from communities most directly impacted by historic and cultural exclusion.
