ABOUT CITY EMT
City EMT is not only training at-risk young adults to be the next generation of San Francisco EMTs, firefighters, and nurses—it’s addressing issues of poverty, violence, and unemployment by showing its participants roads to success they’d never thought to consider.
ABOUT NARRATIVE SHIFT
With support from the Dream Keeper Initiative and the Human Rights Commission, Narrative Shift lifts up unseen, untold stories from San Francisco’s Black community—people and organizations too often mis- or underrepresented in mainstream news and storytelling. The suite of projects includes video diaries, short films, dance and theater projects and more. Narrative Shift puts storytelling tools (filming, recording, interviewing, etc) directly in the hands of those from communities most directly impacted by historic and cultural exclusion.
