ABOUT LYNETTE MACKEY
Lynette Mackey is the founder of Mackey’s Korner, a nonprofit that brings suicide awareness and resources for prevention to Black and Brown youth who have been underserved by the mental health community. After losing her 12-year-old grandson to suicide, Mackey dedicated herself to offering mental health referral services, residential and outpatient treatment options. Citizen Film has completed building a website and social media platforms with Mackey to assist in her education mission.

ABOUT CITIZEN FILM AND BLACK ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Many black entrepreneurs in the Bay are committed to creating spaces that keep dollars in their neighborhoods and lift up their communities. Sharing powerful, authentic stories of these entrepreneurs’ work—their dreaming, striving, overcoming challenges and celebrating achievements—is essential to supporting their successes and to manifesting a collective, community-centered vision.
With the support of our partners at San Francisco’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development and The Dream Keeper Initiative, Citizen Film collaborates with Black business owners to tell their stories in creative ways that make a community-building impact.
